How To Hide Any Files Without Installing ThirdParty Apps on Android | Lollipop

We all need Piracy, hahaha.... I was kidding. We need Privacy when it comes to Technology. Mostly while using Computers or Mobile Smartphones. To secure the data like contacts, messages there is an option called Encryption, don't worry I'm not going talk about it. So, most of the people want to hide their Images & Videos because they don't want to be seen by others. For this purpose they download and try different type of applications from the Playstore. But in this article I will show you not only Hiding Images/Videos, also on how to hide any files on your Smartphone without using thirdparty apps.

Note:: This files are hidden only on the Smartphone. They can be seen if you connect your phone to PC.

How to Hide Files:

■Open File Manger
-●Go to Device/SD Card (Depending upon where you want to hide the file)
-●Give a long press on the File/Folder that you want hide
-●Click on Rename
-●Now, here comes the trick. Keep a DOT(.) At the beginning of the Name (example: If the Name is as FAMILY then change it as .FAMILY)
-●Once you save that. You can notice that file has been disappeared.
-●If the hidden file is Image/Video then it also can't be seen in Gallery or in Video apps (Any doubts check it)
-●Done. The files are Hidden.

How to See Hidden Files:

To see the Hidden files
-●Open File Manager
-●Open menu options
-●Go to settings
-●Check the mark for Hidden files

Now you can access your hidden files by going to the place where you had hidden it. To hide it again, go to settings and uncheck the mark for Hidden Files.
